GRGDN is an independent record label based in Istanbul, founded in 2003. The name GRGDN originates from the Turkish word for rhinoceros, a symbol of the company's powerful drive and strong desire to keep pushing music forward. Services include music production, artist management, distribution, booking, music marketing and PR.
Starting with rock band Gripin, GRGDN went on to oversee several quintessential Turkish pop, rock, hip hop and alternative releases with a roster that has included Manga, Vega, Emre Aydın, Göksel, Cartel, Direct-t and - more recently - Vedat Sakman, Korhan Futacı, Koray Candemir and Sattas.
GRGDN is also the distribution, marketing and PR representative for the world's biggest alternative music labels in the territory of Turkey such as Beggars Group, PIAS, Ninja Tune and Crammed Discs. Artists whose releases and/or live performances GRGDN has locally contributed to include Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur), The National, Fela Kuti, Belle and Sebastian, Interpol, Dropkick Murphys, The xx, Two Door Cinema Club, Odesza, Father John Misty, Beach House, Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Black Midi, Snail Mail, Future Islands, Badbadnotgood, Balthazar, Hiatus Kaiyote, Nilüfer Yanya and more.
